Friday introductions! 👋🏽H E Y T H E R E to all our newer Let Them LOL followers over the past few months - thanks for joining! We are a grassroots nonprofit. We exist to empower communities through wholistic, sustainable development. A laugh on a ringtone helped fund a clean water well as a bunch of people saw a problem and said, "that's not ok." Today, we are a community here in Buffalo, NY with a community there in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Together with our Sierra Leonean staff (50+) we maintain over 130 wells (and counting), our Hope Rising Academy school for over 500 students (pre-k to high school), full-time care for 40 children (including a home for vulnerable girls), a healthcare clinic, and a community center, all providing jobs and empowering a better future. Here in Buffalo volunteers pack nutritious meals (to sustain our school/kiddos), support annual fundraising events (hello 5K), sponsor students, and empower our local community.
